Red Cross Bloodborne Pathogen
Designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. After taking this course, students should talk with their employer about their workplaces specific policies and procedures. Those who complete the training receive a Bloodborne Pathogens Training certification valid for one year.
Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid – Blended Skills Eval Only
This course will prepare you to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. Upon successful completion of the on-line portion of the course, you will receive a digital provisional certificate for Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED. Bring this certificate with you for completion of the Skills Only portion of class. After successful completion of skills, you will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED
The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age – adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age).Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
Red Cross CPR-BLS
This course includes CPR for the adult, child and infant as well as Automated External Defibrillator use, bag mask respirations and relief of foreign body airway obstruction.
